I spilled an easter egg today
the yolk ran out and ran away
up the road and over the bridge
and jumped on a cloud floating next to the ridge
I broke my irish flute last week
instead of a toot, it made a squeak
so I put it to rest in its wee little bed
and gave it some cake and a pat on the head
I dropped my cat upon her head
she said that’s fine I sure ain’t dead
I’ll read a book and drink some tea
and all the birds will smile at me
So THAT’S what’s wrong with my mom’s desktop.
